Edged ‘Tops Out’ New Sustainable Data Center in Mesa, Arizona Purpose-Built for Ultra-Efficient AI Model Training and Inference
High-performance facility will deliver 36 MW critical capacity, waterless cooling and on-demand fiber for hyperscale and enterprise customers.
MESA, AZ (April 11, 2025) – Edged, the fast-growing sustainable infrastructure provider, marked a significant milestone this week with the ‘topping out’ of the company’s newest ultra-efficient data center in Mesa, Arizona. Strategically located less than 25 miles from downtown Phoenix, this innovative facility is optimized for high-performance compute and equipped with advanced waterless cooling and energy-efficient systems.
The topping out event, marking the completion of the building’s structural framework, was attended by Edged leaders and local general contractor Haydon Building Corp. The event included a ceremonial beam signing, symbolizing the strong collaboration behind the project. The day also included an announcement of a new partnership with Light Source Communications (LSC), the first network provider to build into the facility.
“In celebrating today’s topping out event, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to safety—ensuring every step of our build meets the highest standards for our team and our community,” said Bryant Farland, CEO of Edged. “We also celebrate another major milestone as we welcome Light Source Communications into our Mesa data center as our first network provider. This is a significant leap forward in building a robust connectivity ecosystem and creating the secure, high-performance environment our customers need to power the next generation of heavy compute.”
Edged Phoenix will be one of the most water-efficient data centers in the region, conserving more than 142 million gallons of water annually through its state-of-the-art ThermalWorks waterless cooling system. The modular system supports densities of up to 70 kW per rack with air cooling and 200 kW per rack with plug-and-play liquid cooling integration that is ideal for the growing demands of hyperscalers and large enterprises.
“We’re excited to welcome Edged onto our Phoenix-area route. Their new facility is aligned with our strategy of supporting the AI and other high-performance computing needs of hyperscalers and enterprises in the metro area,” said Debra Freitas, CEO of LSC. “We are committed to meeting the significant connectivity demands of today’s businesses. This advanced Edged facility goes hand-in-hand with the state-of-the-art network we are building, which is one of the largest fiber builds of its kind.”
Edged Phoenix is expected to be fully operational by late 2025 and joins a growing network of Edged facilities currently under construction or operational across the U.S., including in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Columbus and Des Moines. Edged is a subsidiary of Endeavour with nearly a dozen new data centers operating or under construction across Europe and North America and a gigawatt-scale project pipeline.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
