We’re on a mission to make data centers a catalyst for real, measurable, positive impact — both from a global sustainability perspective and the local impact that we have in the communities where we operate and live.
Edged actively engages in local communities through initiatives such as our commitment to diverse contractors and suppliers, partnerships with local schools, and donations to community organizations.
Edged is setting up partnerships with local high schools and universities to reach underrepresented populations, with a focus on advancing women and minority participation in technology fields. We have initiated high school and university scholarships, kicked off a “Lunch & Learn” series with professional engineers from Edged that introduces college students to sustainable technologies and potential career pathways, and we are expanding STEM outreach through our Women In Tech Group.
Edged data centers generate millions of investment dollars and local jobs for campus construction, along with permanent local data center jobs. Edged facilities also generate millions of dollars in local tax revenues each year, which helps to support important public services. Our partnerships with local businesses and commitment to diverse hiring ensure that the benefits of development are shared equitably across the community.
