Corporate Controller

The Corporate Controller will be a vital member of the leadership team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who will be overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reports for our Data Center organization. This role will direct the accounting department, develop core business process and system, lead the ERP deployment and serve as an essential business partner to senior management.

The Corporate Controller needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. Include but are not limited to:

• Manage the accounting department, including hiring, training, developing and leading a team of accounting professionals
• Oversee the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and ensure accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP reporting requirements
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to maintain proper accounting records and mitigate risks
• Prepare and review key reports such as budget vs. actual analyses, cash flow projections, and property performance reports
• Serve as the main liaison with external auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process
• Manage the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on financial planning, capital market transactions, acquisitions/dispositions and other key business decisions
• Establish accounting parameters associated with REIT and SEC requirements to establish a future reporting baseline, as necessary
• Lead deployment of ERP system, coordinating with strategic transformation team and corporate leadership
• Identify opportunities to implement process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiencies
• Develop and mentor staff accountants and accounting managers
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting audit experience
• Minimum of 5 years of REIT industry experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional technical accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of GAAP reporting
• Expertise in real estate accounting, including capital transactions, lease accounting, and property operations
• Data Center Operations preferred
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead and develop an accounting team
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills to effectively partner with all levels
• High degree of integrity, professionalism and commitment to ethical practices
• Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Master's degree or CPA certification a plus
