Opportunity

The Manager of IT Infrastructure and Support will be a vital member of the IT team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who can lead and develop Edged Data Centers' internal IT support team. This role will focus on managing our IT infrastructure, support operations, and end-user support services, while ensuring we build a robust and scalable IT environment as we grow.

The Manager of IT Infrastructure and Support needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a small team of IT professionals responsible for providing technical support, infrastructure management, and end-user services.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring efficient support for Active Directory, Azure, virtualization, Office 365, and end-user systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies and systems to optimize IT support operations, improve response times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of virtualized environments in Azure and on-premise as needed.
  • Ensure proper management of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 environments.
  • Develop and monitor IT support KPIs, ensuring service levels are met and continuous improvements are implemented.
  • Foster collaboration between IT, internal departments, and external partners, including MSPs and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Participate in budget planning and vendor management for IT services and infrastructure.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing an IT support and infrastructure team.
  • Strong customer support skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure, virtualization, Office 365, and end-user support.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Sharepoint.
  • Hands-on experience with remote support of users.
  • Experience leading teams in the wholesale/retail data center industry or managed service provider industries a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar are a plus.

  • Solid understanding of infrastructure management, including cloud environments, virtualization, and end-user support.
