Opportunity

The Senior Sales Director will be a vital member of the sales team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who can position Edged Data Centers to be a strategic partner to global hyperscale targets and sell data center solutions. The Senior Sales Director needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy documented in an Account Plan to drive new business and revenue growth with assigned hyperscale customers.
  • Lead all stages of business acquisition beginning with relationship management and tracking all the way through lease execution.
  • Drive the overall strategy for the targeted hyperscale accounts.
  • Lead all sales pursuits associated with the target hyperscale accounts.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
  • Position Edged Data Centers as a market leader in hyperscale data centers through targeted marketing, thought leadership, and effective communication.
  • Provide feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement in product offerings and service delivery.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain all customer contact plans.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with customer organizations, including senior leadership, Site selection, Legal, Finance, and Tax departments.
  • Build and maintain technical relationships with customer organizations: Site Selection, Engineering, Construction, Security, Network Engineering
  • Gain customer acceptance by gaining and demonstrating a firm understanding of their business/operations.

Sales and Revenue:

  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
  • Meet or exceed all defined sales goals and ensure consistent quota attainment.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal cross functional teams, including Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance and Operations.
  • Communicates with team members to keep up to date with daily issues and activities.

Lease and Contract Management:

  • Act as a point of contact for lease reviews and negotiations.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales pursuit, including signal creation, RFP management, solution development, lease creation/negotiation, and executive reporting.

Identify and pursue new data center/colocation opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansions

Include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and fulfill all preventative maintenance obligations with onsite operations teams
  • Organize and maintain spare parts on site to ensure maximum uptime potential
  • Troubleshoot and repair all thermal works equipment on site
  • Direct on-site installation processes to Subcontractors
  • Perform on site quality Control checks of the installation of Thermal Works equipment.
  • Audit quality process at facilities manufacturing Thermal Works equipment
  • Validation of piping and instrumentation installation, comparing with site plans, piping details and P&ID drawings
  • Field startup of Thermal Works equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repair any issues that may arise throughout the commissioning process.
  • Lead the commissioning process from Factory acceptance through Integrated systems testing (IST), closely identifying any issues or constraints that could impact the delivery of an on-time schedule
  • Work with third party commissioning teams to complete construction processes and remediate deficiencies
  • Monitor commissioning software closely to ensure project is on schedule
  • Collaboration with different departments within the company for product development

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s egree in bsiness, Mrkeg,Engineng, or a rlated field; MBA or advaducation / Experience
  • At least 10 years of prior experience in the commissioning and/or service of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment or equivalent education plus experience
  • 608 EPA certification
  • Experience in the data center commissioning processes
  • Aptitude with controls and networking (preferred)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
